Often after an illness, we find ourselves weak and filled with fatigue. Maintaining a right diet at the time of recovery plays a vital role in a faster and speedy recovery. It is important to eat the right kind of foods to recuperate faster and gain back the energy levels as well. This tried and tested recipe is a potent drink for all, specially for those who are recovering from a major illness. This drink helps to stimulate the mind and is also recommended for students because it acts like a boost of energy.

We recommend that you use all organic ingredients in the making of this delicious and energizing drink so that you get maximum health benefits.

Makes : 1 cup 

Time taken : 5 minutes

What you need

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Melon seeds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds which have been sprouted
  • 1 tbsp alfalfa which have been sprouted
  • 1 tbsp sprouted pea nuts
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 10 raisins
  • 1 tbsp fresh coconut
  • 5 cashew nuts

Method

  • You will need to sprout the sunflower seeds and alfa alfa seeds till they sprout. Wash them clean and wrap in  moist cloth or keep in the sprouting container to allow  the seeds to sprout naturally. This should take at least a day or two to get ready.
  • Keep dates at room temperature and de-seed them. Chop into fine pieces.
  • Grate fresh coconut

Mix all the ingredients together in a blender and make into a fine paste. Add enough water to make this into a thick liquid. Drink immediately and do not store it.
